Since aquiring the Nikon GPS-1 for my D300 in February, I’ve made it a point to start tagging all my shots whenever I venture outside New York. GPS tagging for photos has been available to consumers and prosumers for a few years, and while some believe its unnecessary or even gimmicky, I find it rewarding and useful.

When viewed on a map on services like Flickr, you can get a quick overview of where you’ve been, and where you’d like to go next. The first image above represents all the places I’ve shot since February. The second image reflects my aspirations for the future. Where would you want to shoot?
